iTunes 8.1

Apple has just released the latest iTunes update 8.1. Available as a free download, the new software claims to do everything from loading large libraries to browsing the iTunes store more quickly than before. The software also has greater speed when syncing with iPod, iPhone and iTouch. iTunes 8.1 also imports music from your CDs as 256-Kbps iTunes Plus files which is higher quality than uploading on the previous version.

Google Labs

The google engineers are working on new features for G-mail all the time and Google Labs is the interactive online testing facility. Labs allows users to play with these prototype features and provide feedback to Google on their performance. To enable and use some of the potential features, go to your G-mail account and hit the settings link at the top-right hand of the page - under the "settings" heading on the settings page, look for the "Labs" tab. Here you will find a list of cool features that you can enable in your G-mail account.
